His New Friend...

Da-tah, this is his new-found friend. Papa got it for him.

For those who don't know, his name is SpongeBob...

He is being carried around the house, being slept with, being "sayang" by baby D. But this friend of his only lasted 3 days at the most. He is now being abadoned and now left alone + unattended at one corner of the room. The friendship ended such a pitiful ending... haha!!!

We had morning breakfast at Mcd and baby d simply love hotcakes & scramble egg. He will kick his leg and ask for more, more and more!

Both papa and son enjoyin' the morning together...

It's a great morning to be with....

Watery Lappy !

Baby D wets papa’s lappy. He poured his cup of water onto papa’s lappy while watching his fav Mickey Mouse clips. Opps!!!

Lappy is now at service centre… it’s such miserable at home without a lappy…

Hmm… wonder if it can be saved?!

Baby D is down with flu virus.

Slight fever, cough with phlegm, running nose…my poor precious!

Brought him to Dr Winston on Saturday morning, gave some medication and hopefully he gets well soon. Flu, please go away!

Gals Retreat

It was our 2nd holiday out of Singapore.

The very first trip was to Thailand, which was some years back,

Now, finally after some discussion over MSN, we have decided on a short & nearby getaway.

Destination fixed at Batam, Indonesia

It was a 2 days 1 night trip. We left Harbourfront Ferry Terminal on Saturday morning after breakfast at Mcdonald and in an hour time, we reached Batam Ferry Centre. Upon arrival, it rained heavily, we thought that the rain would have dampened the shopping mood but surprisingly it stopped when we arrived at the hotel lobby.

We checked in to our triple sharing room, washed up and started our shopping spree, although many will think that what is there to shop over at Batam. Haahaa, well…the 3 of us still find it interesting and excited over the extremely cheap stuffs there.

The hotel arranged a taxi for us to Nogoya Hill, their newest and biggest shopping mall. 1st shop was some push-cart outside the hall selling perfume. The gals got a few bottles for themselves and their sisters. Next, we went shopping for t-shirts, jeans, blouse etc. After walking for an hour, everyone started to feel that drumming in our tummy. Decided to make a lunch stop at one of the café and settled off our quick lunch.

Shopping continued all the way till 4pm where we went back to the hotel for our spa appointment. Cat has confirmed a spa package for us which includes whole body scrub, messaging and aroma therapy treatment. It is really heavenly shiok for us to enjoy the message after a day of walking.  I love the foot massage!

Perhaps, I am not used to regular spa because certain time during the massage, the lady nearly made me go screaming out loud. It’s such painful until I am to bear with it and tell her to be more gently with my bones, haha!

2.5hrs of spa ended and we went up to our room for shower. There is a complimentary dinner for us at the café. We were served with a soup (tom yam), sambal chicken rice and fruits. We ordered orange juice and their orange juice is simply refreshing.

After dinner, we went off to the nearest market, hoping to get some real fresh big mangoes but too our disappointment, we couldn’t find any. Only rambutan were found.

Visited one of their super markets and got myself some Maggie mee. Well, accordingly to some reliable sources from michelle and joyce that their Maggie Mee is superb nice, I have got 3 bag of mee goreng and each bag contains 5 packets which cost less than S$1.00 per bag…

That night, we presented cat’s birthday pressie to her and order the “all time fav” orange juice, club sandwiches and fries as an early birthday celebration for her. We laze around, had a long chat, packing our bags and see what each other have gotten from the shopping trip. It was really a time of true friendship. It’s has been long ages since we 3 have such long time of girls talk. The very last time was at SAFRA chalet during secondary school time.

3 of us had a good night sleep throughout. Zzzzzzzzz!!!!

The following morning came, after breakfast at the hotel café, we went back to Nagoya Hill for our pedicure appointment. To our “horror”, their service is so lousy, their skill is unaccepted. We have no choice but to take it and did our last shopping spree before heading back to the hotel for the transfer to the ferry terminal.

Our ferry leaves at 4.30pm and we were there for check in at 2pm. Since time is still early, we popped in a café for coffee/tea and some snack. 4.30pm we went in for boarding and the worst scenario came and never did we expected such thing to happen.

We MISSED the ferry!!!!!!!

The custom told us to hurry reschedule the ferry time as the next boarding may be full as well. With all our bags, we hurried to the counter and get our tickets re-validated. Spent an hour of waiting at the boarding area before the next ferry comes. So exhausted that we fall asleep on the journey back.

Upon arrival at Harbourfront, I saw my mum, hubby, eka and my precious – baby D waving at me. They came and fetched me home.

“mama, mama, mama” are the words I heard from him when I carried him dearly.

I missed my darlings at home so much! Well, they missed me too…. J

We have more of such gals retreats soon. It was fun shopping and get-together.

"A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart, and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words."

we shared everything (the good and the bads) in office and do really appreciate the effort we each put in to make this friendship strong and ongoing.

the kopi sessions...keep us bonded and cherish the friendship even more...

Cheers, my pal @ work!

Singapore Zoo

It's a last minute decision to the zoo, since Daddy has free admission, we decided to make the trip down at 3pm with my mummy. It has been long ages since I last visited the zoo, which is like....10 years ago...!

The weather is cool and not hot & humid.

Everyone enjoyed the trip as much as I do.

Baby Darrell of course is fascinated by the animals, especially on his favourite animals like elephant, griffra, zebra, tiger... He will imitates how the tiger roars and every animal has the same roar from him.

Whenever we showed him an animal, he will jumping off and pointing at them.

After much walking and sighting seeing, we finally reached Reinforced Kidzworld. The place that we have been looking forward to, the water theme park is loved by children and me (heehee). I think Baby D enjoyed being in the cooling water and been splashed by other much elder kids.

Rainforest Kidzworld

Loved in the water

Enough of fun with the water, we got ourselves dried up and see more "animals" that Baby D can touch and feel.

Well, these animals are "small" enough for him to get near with.

We ended the day at zoo around 6.30pm.

Time to say goodbye and see you another day.

We  the zoo and will come back again!

Before we headed off, saw this cute lion cap that baby d fall in love with.  He loves wearing on it and won't want to take off. heehee!

does this below picture say....

"daddy, I am tired already...shall we come another day?"
