my baby d is officially a 18th month toddler where it's the basic requirement for admission to the child-care but after much consideration, we have decided to put him into a half day child-care program comes 3nd quarter of the next year. main while, mummy will source around for some musically enrichment classes for him to start next year because this little one enjoys very much with music.
well, coming to the thought of it... the name of baby d will have to change it to little d, haha! however, he's still the precious baby in both mummy and papa's heart.
the little one d has learnt alot of new things through the months and now he's learning to pronounce. yes, pronunciation is in progress. he will imitate you and learn to pronounce the last word you speak to him.
when he sees his "jie-jie" (my helper) vacuuming and mopping the floor, he'll want to help her by taking the magic clean and imitate how she does it. whenever, he sees the vacuum cleaner at electrical stores, he will called out to his "jie-jie" and imitate how she does the housework at home. this really amused us! we are happy & fortunate to share what he has learned and its learning.
little darrell loves us as much as we do. if he can reach out for papa's handphone, he will bring the handphone to papa even though papa is somewhere around the house. he even share his yakult drink with us.
the little boy is also very good with associating things around him... he know how to get his "KEY", his "SHOES", his "CAR" (stroller) whenever we mentioned the word "GAI GAI" to him. simply, he loves the word "GAI GAI", haha! he will dash off to the door and get ready for set-off.
brought him over to dr. winston's clinic for some running nose medication and as well to assess on his 18th month growth. everything seems fine for this little one...worrying that he might be on the 'underweight-petti' side, ask dr winston if there is anything to enhance his appetite. i got a 'strange' look from dr winston?! he did an calculation on his weight and head circumference, phew...this boy is on a 75th percentile which is slightly above average for his age-month. haha! this mummy felt so relieved upon his assurance.
well, i strictly believe all mummy would want to feed the best for their little ones however, they get to choose what goes in their mouth right...? so it tends to worry the mummy if their little ones get enough nutrients on daily feeds and specially when they loves the junk food more than their "ai xin" meals which we have prepared.
whenever i see him, i felt the happiness within me. when he hovers over and give you a tight hug, nothing beats better than it. the bond we had for one another, the mother love for him. i just can't bear to whisper the word "baby, mummy loves you" gently into his ears...not sure if he understand the real meaning of it, he would walked away. i simply love to see the way he eats, he sleeps, he loiters around the house, he picks his snacks over tea-time, he picks up leaves and stone at the park, he swings down from the slides, he greeted me "nite nite" everynite before going to bed and more more more. i am so thankful to have him beside me and he is my everything.
with you at our side, with your cheerful laughter and the amazing bond that fall within us, we continue to walk on with hands holding as a family, our life journey...
wish us all the best!
