我们要上课了...

Yes, with effect next year on 10 Jan 2010, we are going to class on every Sunday morning for one term.

Really hope that this little one have fun and joy with the class. This is definitely not something to stress him on but to make learning more joyous and happier for him.

It is also another way to prepare him when the time comes for childcare admission.

Let's see how the class will go... more updates coming up.

stay tuned.

Lovely Bag

The  bag that I have been wishing for…

and my dream came true.

It flew back from Italy...

  Simply adores it

Merri Christmaz'09

On this Christmas seasons, we had fun enjoying good food and peacefulness.

At work, the office girls had arranged a simple buffet lunch accompany roasted ham, pork ribs, sushi, log cake for everyone to brighten up this season greetings in office. Everyone enjoyed mingling around with champagne, red wine, cocktail drinks and chatting happily away. Boss gave us the privilege to ‘off work’ at 2pm and happily merrily, packed our stuffs and home.

Back home, this little boy knows its Christmas and logging to go out with us, immediately when I reached home, he’s waiting patiently for me at the door gate and all dressed up. Hubby brought us to his camp friend’s chalet at Changi, we headed over the grandma’s place for pot luck Christmas dinner.

Sumptuous pot-luck dinner specially prepared by Chef Cindy 4-yee. Simple home-cooked dinner yet strong family bonding. I love it!

We gathered around the big round dinning table for dinner, sort of like CNY reunion dinner.

The children running around cheerily and all set now to welcome the Christmas Day to come.

On the actual day of Christmas, I prepared for steamboat for mum’s place just in time for the arrival of my brother from Italy. We had a great time catching up on his holiday over there. Fragrance boiled chicken soup with shabu-shabu, lotsa of veggies for steamboat and a special can of abalone to celebrate X’mas, how wonderful can it be to be with your loved family ones.

May this Christmas, hope it brings me much happiness & joy for the upcoming year ahead.

X'mas Date @ Coca

The 3 ladies have planned this x’mas cum gathering outing way before in November via our office email. We planned which day to take a half day off and where to have lunch and shopping. Finally, we settled (after much 'commotion with the pedi/medicure') for lunch @ Coca, Ngee Ann City and x’mas shopping after which.

' S.H.E' Aunties

This is the 3rd time, we met throughout the year and we are real looking forward to seeing one another again.

Sumptuous buffet lunch at Coca satisfied our half day and was too full for to walk on but then, we have to drag ourselves out of the restaurant and proceed to our x’mas shopping. We went shopping for our office colleagues and as well as for the bosses. Yeah, I finally got my boss’s x’mas presents.

Well, the 3 tai tai got bags of x’mas presents and we went off to a café at Takashimaya basement for some pizza and coffee. Ha, imagine we still can eat and drink. Think the seeing and the accompany of one another really perks up our appetite. We had talk, we had laughter together. We chat about times back at old office and hears each other updates. It was great day out with them although it’s only half a day and happy time flies exceptionally fast. Soon, time to bid farewell.

Haha, while stirring the coffee and munching the pizza, the 3 of us have came out a date again. YES, this round was planned for the little ones. We decided on a Sunday brunch for the kids. Party door gift, poppers, x’mas presents for the children too.

So excited to meet up the ladies and their lovely children soon.

Really cherish the times we get together because due to individual commitment, we are not able to meet up as often as possible.

Very appreciative of them to make a half day out for this ladies S.H. E gathering. Well, we named ourselves S.H.E…wohooo!! - Don't puke...heehee!

The X'mas Walk

It’s a beautiful Sunday where we decided to head down to Orchard to enjoy the beautiful season greetings lighting.

The street along Orchard road as usual was crowded as the Christmas seasons are approaching.

We took some shots outside ngee ann city and the little boy is fascinated by the decoration, lighting, bands and the crowd.

Happily walked and roam around without any fear of getting lost!

After some shots, I suggested walking down to ION orchard as my folks and myself have not been in it. It’s huge!

The place is so huge and ‘high class’, filled with luxury boutiques.

Even, the basement eateries are unique. There are Japanese, Taiwan food eateries. Special in Singapore but expensive too.

We took a coffee session at Tea Loft where they served aromatic coffee and toast. Few slices of bread, 1 ice lemon tea, 2 coffee costs my mum almost $20.00

For her, who don’t usually popped by in town finds it extremely expensive. Of course, for the dinning experience and a reason to sit down and take a break after strolling up and down the street, it’s has to be worth it. Hey, there is no fast food at ION or I didn’t see it. We were searching for some Mcd but invalid.

Nowadays, not mentioning my old folk, me cannot take the long walking downtown. From ngee ann to ION, I felt tired on my sole even with my flats on.

Or it is the big bag containing babystuff, milk bottles, therm flask take makes me tired. Heehee!

The Superstar

Anyway, it’s overall a nice and special experience downtown as we seldom has the opportunity to walk down with my folks and my brother, together with little D.

I enjoyed the walking though the crowd and weather is unbearable.

GUG enrichment class

I arranged with Cassan on a trial class for Little D and Jaron with Growing up Gifted (GUG), Suntec last weekends. Before class, the 2 little boys had their breakfast at Mcdonald. 9.30am, time for class… we are assigned to Classroom 1 with teacher ash & nora and were welcomed by the regular little students from that class.

We began with songs singing and dancing exercising with the toddlers in the class. Both Jaron & Darrell enjoyed roaming around the class and interacting with the rest of the kids. As this is the very first time little D is exploring to new ‘classroom’ environment hence the curiosity for everything in the classroom which includes the waste paper bin, the tables & chairs, the cabinets where we put our belongings and even the whiteboard.

Teacher nora started the kids with small animals, drawn 8 piggy to present each of the little student and make the count from 1 – 8, followed by the alphabet of the day ‘W’… we learnt things relating to the ‘W’ like…. (1) water (2) wipe (3) water-melon (4) willy wizard (opps, did I get the animal name correct??) (5) watch…

Among the above, little D knows watch the best… when teacher nora pronounce the word ‘watch’, he goes around repeating the word ‘watch’ ‘watch’ & ‘watch’… bite-sizes of water-melon were given to the kids too and of course, they love it refreshing!

I find it very enrichment for the teachers to relate the words to real-life example. Like when they learn on ‘wipe’, the teachers will pour some ‘w’ater on the mat and use cloth ‘w’ipe to clean it dry. As such, the toddlers get to expose what is the meaning of wipe.

Though cassan & myself finds it too ‘siong’ + complicated for the toddlers to know what the teachers are talking or doing but I still find it quite useful.

As our little ones are the newbies in the class, we could not get their attention and sit down and watch/listen to what the teachers are doing/talking.

Most of the times, the little ones roam around in the class and we were busy ‘catching’ them back to the mat.

The lesson lasted for 1.5hrs and water/snack break of 10mins. During the water break, parents then took out their snack & water for the little one. My little one shared his honeystars with the classmate on the same table and even feed them. Haha!

After water break, we did some art & craft….Yes!!! simple art & craft….. we did a belt with cotton wool & masking tape.

My very first master art piece with my Darrell. (though, I am the one doing it all the while)

Halfway through, little D starts to get frustrated and pay no attention at anyone including me. He went to the door and hit hard on the door, calling ‘jie jie’ ‘jie jie’ (my helper)… he lost his concentration and wanted to get out of the class badly. No choice, I have to leave the class with him for a walk at the reception and brought him back after he cooled down.

I believed that being the very first time attending a class, he is not able to adapt to the long ‘teaching’ session. It has to be a while before he settle down, am I right?

The teachers are reading on the phonics and basically no toddler understand what its all about (even myself can't catch the rhythm). i guess, it is much of a retention and recognition in their little size mind.

afterall, we still enjoyed the class and will consider him for next year' 2010 intake.

mummies who had send their toddlers to enrichment classes...any comments...?

Christmas Presents Received

Our early Christmas presents from Mummy & Papa…

Mum got little D a cuddle teddy bear, he loves it and will 'sayang' his 'bear-friend' but a pitiful that little D has sensitive nose, so i have to put away this hugging bear from him. Nevertheless, he still can see him around the house only thing is he no longer can cuddle him.

oh, little D is such a dearly to this teddy bear, he will give him his drink, his food, his balloon and even pat him to bed, haha! just exactly like how we did to him...

see, even hug him while watching the TV together...

Well, beside he has a xmas pressie, me got mine too... ever since my camera (which is serving me for a good 4 years) has been failing, i am eyeing on the various cameras. that day, while browsing through the cameras at H.N @ Northpoint, was comparing Sony Cybershot and Canon IXUS at the camera counter and pa offered to purchase the camera for me... haha, so happy. he chose the brand & model...and when the promoter asked if i want a silver, blue, gold or a pink camera, pa answered back him... 'girls, should prefer a PINK one'... immediately, i agreed on a pink one... here you go;

i'm lovin' it!!!!!

Thank You, my folks...

harass-ment...

On a weekend morning at mummy’s place, this little boy will wake everyone up and ‘harass’ them to carry him to ‘gai-gai’, play with him or just to accompany him roam around the house. First, he will disturb his ‘jiu-jiu’ on his breakfast, whatever jiu-jiu have for breakfast, this little D will sure want to have a taste of it. He will hover around jiu-jiu and never let him have a peace meal.

Especially when ‘jiu-jiu’ moves around he house, little D will sure follow him, just like a ‘mosquito’, haha!

This weekend is a special day for my mum…yeah! She is attending her company first D&D at Hyatt Hotel. I brought all my accessories over for her to choose from.  She had her simple yet fitting dress from Northpoint and even got her hair done with make up. Beautifully and with confident, she set off for her D&D.

She looks so different and gorgeous, even little D says ‘ah-ma… mei mei’ and insisted her to carry him around the house till she left.

Now, let the pictures show how ‘chio’ my mum can be….wohaaa…..

(taken by my new CANON IXUS – PINK camera)….
