Carpe Diem - 1st Day of Class

First day of class. Seeing my little one puts on his uniform and carry his own bag. I realized that this little boy of mine has grown up. Happily off to school in papa's car.
However, when we entered the class, he started his refusal to wash his hands and hide behind my back. Teacher Hema (form teacher) is very nice, accommodating and slowly held his little hands off us. He followed her.
We stayed for a while and while he is exploring the centre, we walked off. I can't help to feel insecure & worried while walking off the centre. Teacher Hema' message came that she is still settling this little boy, which gave me more comfort that my boy will be in good hands.
Hope better days will come and slowly be adpotable to the new environment.

In another way, he did it on his own too... Well-done, my baby!

Separation Anxiety

Kids Play Club, 1st lesson at GUG last Sunday.

Last Sunday, we are back to GUG Suntec after the 4 months break.

Darrell has started his 1st lesson with Teacher Wei. It’s an independent class where unlike the Parents & Tods class where we (mummies) are allowed into the class with them.

He started it off with Teacher Wei but shortly he came out of the class to look for me.

And it came…. Holding my hands, hugging onto me… I accompanied him into the class and shortly I escaped off.

All I can hear is wailing and sobbing from the class, from my boy!

He’s still not used to individual class despite his outgoing character.

The rest of the kids are going well, especially Yihao… he’s such a lovely boy.

Some of the parents still accompanied their kids in as it’s the first lesson and Teachers allows it.

Comes, next week… it’s will be a challenging task for me.

Jia You, my Darrell…
