The arrival of my little darling is here!!!!!
On 16 April 2008, 8.03pm - he arrived to this beautiful world by Dr Adrian B. Woodworth at Thomson Medical Centre. Weighting 3090g and 47cm.
We love him, everyone loves him!!! He is our darling precious!!!!!
Here is my birth story:
[16 April 2008]
7.15am - was getting ready for shower for my last day of work before I start my maternity leave. spotted red in the toilet.........told hubby about it and we got ourselves prepared for admission. Me showered and did some simply housework after which called Dr Woody to seek for his advice. He wanted me to go straight to TMC and meet him there. Hubby & I set off from our place at 8.30am, we headed to Mcdondald @ Kallang for breakfast before admitting myself.
10.00am - got admitted and changed to the hospital gown, nurses weighted me, cleared my "shitty" haha!!! And Dr Woody came by, he checked my cervix, it was 1cm open, bursted my water bag and told me that I should be able to see my little darling by 4-5pm...was on drip and waited anxiously with hubby in Birth Room Number 5. Watched TV and fall asleep now and then.
1.30pm - contraction came very hurting...I already tried to bear with the "unbearable" pain for 1 hour, after using the "laughing gas" (which was useless), I seek for..... "Happy-dural".... It was really god - sent medicine. I fall asleep after the injection with NO PAIN of contraction at all.
4.00pm - nurses came and check on my cervix, it was then 4cm open only...which isn't a good sign. Dr Woody was informed on it. He came in too, asked me to wait for another 2 hrs and we see how things shall go....wait and wait and wait, it was my longest wait in my life....!
7.30pm - Dr Woody came in again in his polo-shirt and bermuda, haha I nearly cannot recognise him. He said.....it is no good for both mummy and baby since the cervix has not open till 10cm, baby heartbeat began to drop, his head is stuck in my birth canal. He suggested....... C-Section then! We all agreed and hubby signed all the related documents, we are ready for c-section anytime.
7.45pm - was wheeled in the operating room and ready for operation. I was given a lot of injection and one of it hurts!! That's was the most painful injection in my life (worst than epidural). Dr Woody came and hubby came in as well. He sat down, started his "art & craft"..shortly, I heard baby's crying........!! My darling is out!!!! Dr Woody quickly asked hubby to take pictures and video, hubby was like too anxious..and became octopus......our very first snapshot with little darling was taken.
@ 8.03pm, the arrival of him..................
9.00pm - Stitches was finished, I was wheeled to my room 324, both parents were here as early as 4pm, they saw little darling over the window of nursery room, they came to see me but i was too tired and fall asleep soon they came in.
While waiting in delivery room.
Our first family pic in the operating room

I am so hungry, finished up every bit...
Smile....!
I wanted to thanks those who came and visited me, there are tons of you guys..and I am very appreciative for you presence. Those who sent their best wishes via sms to me..I am very thankful to you guys too. Last, those who sent their hampers in to me, I am very grateful to you. Your hampers and flowers definitely brighten up my mood and my room. ~ Thanks!!!
Thanks to hubby!! He was always there for me during my 3 days stay. He took very well of my needs and was always there in my room to accompany me even though he was yawning and yawning. He is always the first one to come and the very last one to last my room. I love u, darling!!!
I got discharge on 19 April, after 3 days in the hospital. My wound still hurts till now. Dr Woody wants me to try walking to the rest room on my 2nd day as it will helps to heal faster. But only moderate walking, too much walking will hurt on the wound. My next check up with him on coming Saturday to let him "inspect" on the stitches.
Life at home was not EASY at all....we were soooo busy with the little one....my MIL, hubby and myself...we were so busy and we all hope that how nice if we were to have another pair of hands. MIL was always busy with cooking for my confinement meal, hubby was like on "standby mode" running in and out of kitchen and my room when we all need him. I was always attending to the little one, with feedings. We take turns to look after him. It was so tiring last nite when I tried to feed him and change his diaper twice in the night. I have never felt so tired mid in the night BUT it was so proud after which......I managed to change him and feed him, making him to bed........Now that, he is here with us, he is our everything!!!!!!
Baby, we love u!!!!!!!!!
